Description

The goal of computer vision is to make a machine to see and understand images and videos in the same way as a human does. The course provides an introduction to computer vision including fundamentals of the image formation and sensing, camera imaging and multi-view geometry, light and color, image quality assessment and representation, linear and nonlinear filters, texture analysis and segmentation, supervised and unsupervised learning, feature detection and object recognition, concept of neural networks and deep learning. This is a project-based course, in which you will implement several computer vision algorithms and do a final project on a research topic of your choice.
